Installation and Use
Please make sure to attach the Unique Click plate holder tension-free to your vehicle. Otherwise, its functionality may be compromised. Please also note the specified attachment points on your vehicle.
The plate holder must be fitted with the hinges facing downwards.
To install the plate holder on the rear of your vehicle, we recommend using 4 screws, with the mounting points positioned as far apart as possible.
To install the license plate holder on the front of your vehicle, we recommend using a minimum of 2 screws, choosing the oblong holes in the middle, with mounting points as far apart as possible. If feasible, 4 screws can be used.
Once properly installed, the plate holder can be opened manually by simply pulling on the upper corners of the frame. Open the frame to insert your license plate into the lower positioning groove. Make sure your license plate is straight, undamaged, and sits flush with the frame. Now close the frame until it is firmly locked onto the mounting plate.
Your license plate is now held by the frame! You can drive through a car wash without worrying about your license plate.
Care and Maintenance
Periodically clean your Unique Click plate holder with the frame open. Remove dust and dirt particles with a sponge or soft brush. After cleaning, lubricate the spring-loaded components and hinge with a small amount of Ballistol, WD-40 or equivalent. This way you ensure the plate holder’s perfect functionality over time.
Materials and surfaces
The Frames are made from V2A stainless steel (1.4301) and electropolished after machining. The «Black High Gloss» and «Black Matte» versions are hard chrome-plated.
The carrier plates are made of HABA cast aluminum (G-Alu25 eloxtop, similar to EN AW-5083) and are anodized after casting. The thickness of the anodized layer is 15µ.
The spring pressure elements are made of V2A stainless steel (HK 8193 BL. 1). The spacer washers between the frame and carrier plate are made of Teflon.
The Unique Click plate holder is 99.9%. recyclable.
